Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Fast Fridge ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Fast Fridge is a mobile application that helps you decide what to cook. You photograph your fridge or pantry, the App identifies ingredients using AI-powered image recognition, and suggests recipes based on what you have on hand, your household preferences, and past meal ratings.

3. User Accounts & Data

• Fast Fridge does not require an account or login.
• All personal data (household profiles, pantry items, ratings) is stored locally on your device.
• Photos are sent securely for ingredient identification and are never stored on our servers.
• You are responsible for any data on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes all local data.

4. Free & Pro Tiers

• Free tier includes core features: ingredient scanning (3 scans/month), recipe suggestions, meal ratings, household profiles, and pantry management.
• Pro tier is available as a subscription ($2.99/month or $29.99/year) and unlocks additional scans (30/month), dietary restriction filters, a weekly meal planner, and shopping suggestions.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent scan limits, subscription checks, or other usage controls.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or connected services.

6. Intellectual Property

The Fast Fridge name, logo, design, and code are the property of the developer. Recipe data sourced from third-party APIs (Spoonacular, TheMealDB) belongs to their respective owners. Custom recipes you create remain yours.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Fast Fridge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• Ingredient identification will be 100% accurate.
• Recipe suggestions will meet specific dietary or nutritional needs.
• The App will be available without interruption.

Important: Always verify ingredients if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions. Fast Fridge is a cooking assistant, not a medical or nutritional advisor.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to foodborne illness, allergic reactions, or reliance on ingredient identification results.

9. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services for AI image recognition and recipe data. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these services. Their use is governed by their own terms:

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the App's cloud services (ingredient scanning, recipe lookup) if these Terms are violated. Local features that do not require server access will continue to function.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the developer's jurisdiction.
